The City of Hastings runs several utility systems that help support our daily lives, including:

• Wastewater (Sewer)
• Stormwater
• Hydro-electric power

We take care of:

• 100+ miles of water pipes
• 90 miles of sanitary sewer lines
• Six city wells
• Three water towers
• One water treatment plant
• 1,300 fire hydrants
• Eight sewer lift stations
• About 7,300 utility service accounts
• A Four-Megawatt hydro-electric plant at Lock & Dam No. 2
