The Hastings Police and Fire Departments are committed to creating strong, positive relationships with the residents they serve. Through outreach programs, educational events and opportunities for direct interaction, we work together with the community to promote safety, preparedness and trust.
Events and Activities
The City of Hastings Police and Fire Departments host and participate in many events throughout the year, including, but not limited to:
- Coffee with a Cop
- Sound the Siren: Food 4 Kids Food Drive
- Rec + Art + Police, summer months
- Rivertown Days
- Cop on a Rooftop
- Shop with a Hero
- MN Special Olympics Torch Run
- Police Week, second week in May
- Fire Safety Week, week of October 9th
- Fire Safety Education Visits
- National Night Out, the first Tuesday in August
- Pink Patch Program, the month of October, to raise awareness and donations for breast cancer research
