Permanent sign permits
- Permanent sign permit application
- Sign permits are required for all permanent signs, including refacing.
- Separate electrical permits are required for any work on electrical connections.
- Signs in historic districts and properties also require a Certificate of Approval by the HPC.
- Electronic graphic display signs may not change messaging at a rate faster than six seconds and must automatically dim at night.

Temporary signs
- Temporary sign notification form, required for every temporary sign.
- Only one temporary sign may be displayed at a time per parcel
- Temporary signage is allowed for a total of 90 days per calendar year per parcel
- Signs must be securely attached and in good condition
- Signs must be located on private property with the owner’s permission.
- Size is limited to the allowable monument size allowed (usually 50 Sq Ft).
