Highway 55 and Jacob Avenue Growth Plan Area

In 2025, the City Council adopted the Highway 55 & Jacob Avenue Growth Area Plan. This project took a 30-year look a what type of developments may occur on the western edge of the City as private land owners express 

Looking at roughly 400-acres of land entirely out of the current City limits, this plan is meant to look at the infrastructure impacts and possible development phasing should private land-owners want to annex into the City and develop their properties. 

The adopted plan calls for a blend of land uses, but primarily Commercial and Low-Density Residential.
