Lead Service Line Replacement Program
What’s Happening?
The City of Hastings is working to find and replace old water pipes that may contain lead or galvanized steel. These pipes can affect drinking water in homes. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) are asking cities to check these pipes.
In 2024 and 2025, we looked at water service lines across the city to see which ones might need to be replaced.
