Official Newspaper
At the first council meeting of each year, the City Council will designate an official newspaper for all required legal documents and notices for the City of Hastings to be published in. For the current year, the Hastings Journal has been designated as Hastings’ official newspaper.

Ordinance Amendments
Ordinances will be posted before action by the City Council.
City Code amendments may not require a public hearing, but persons may comment on proposals during the Public Comment period of the meeting, or during the item at the discretion of the Mayor. Comments may also be emailed to the City Clerk.
Zoning Code amendments require a public hearing, which takes place at the Planning Commission.
