The Economic Development Department is located at City Hall, 101 E. 4th St., Hastings, and open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact staff at 651-480-2350 or by email. 

Responsibilities

The Economic Development Department’s goal is to make sure that the local economy stays strong and that we create a welcoming environment for any business to thrive. The department provides support to new and existing businesses throughout their business journey by fostering local connections, exploring possible financing opportunities and providing information on the market.

In addition to business support, the Economic Development Department promotes real estate development efforts in Hastings. Whether it’s attracting new investments or overseeing the redevelopment of city-owned land, the department wants to ensure that developments align with the city’s long-term goals and add to the fabric of the community.
