Finance Committee
The Finance Committee of the Hastings City Council provides oversight and guidance on all matters related to the City's financial operations. This Committee ensures transparency, accountability and comprehensive financial management across all City departments and services. The Finance Director reports directly to the Committee, offering regular updates and recommendations on the City's financial strength, budgeting and long-term fiscal planning.

- Oversight of the Finance Department operations
- Guidance on budget development and monitoring
- Review of purchasing, accounting and auditing practices
- Monitoring of financial statements, reports and long-term financial planning
- Communication with the full City Council on financial matters and recommendations
