City Commissions
City commissions play an important role in supporting the work of the Hastings City Council. These bodies are assigned duties by the City Code and serve to provide informed input on a variety of issues affecting the community.
While City Commissions do not make final decisions on behalf of the City, they study issues in depth and make recommendations to the City Council to help guide policy and decision-making.
All meetings of City Commissions are subject to the Minnesota Open Meeting Law, ensuring transparency, public access and accountability similar to City Council meetings.
