Residential Plumbing Permits
Residential plumbing permits are required for new plumbing systems or when parts of existing systems have been altered, extended, or repaired. This includes but not limited to water line replacement, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, or additions. Plumbing permits are also required for replacement of water heaters, water softeners, tub/showers, sinks and similar fixtures.
For new homes, additions, interior remodels and bathroom remodels the city offers an All-Inclusive permit type which can be applied for in lieu of separate permits for each contractor. Plumbing for Lawn Irrigation systems should be applied for on the Irrigation Permit.
Inspections
No part of the plumbing system shall be covered until it has been inspected, and approved.
Inspections may include Underground, Rough-In and Final inspections.
