Lost and Found Pets

To report a lost dog, a dog running loose or to report a found dog in your possession call dispatch at 651-322-2323.

Impounded Animals

Your pet may have been picked up by the Hastings Police Department.  If your dog was found in the City without a license or running at large it will be placed in an animal impound. 

The City of Hastings contracts with the River Bluff Humane Society to hold found animals at their facility.  If your pet is wearing its City of Hastings dog license tag, the officer will make every effort to contact the owner prior to transporting your pet to River Bluff Humane Society. 

If your pet is transported to River Bluff Humane Society, you will first need to pay any impound and boarding fees at the Police Department before we can authorize River Bluff Humane Society to release your pet to you.

• $80.00 Pick Up Fee
• $25.00 Storage Fee (per overnight stay)
• $30.00 Kennel Cough (Bordetella) Vaccine Fee
