Police Department

The mission of the Hastings Police Department is to safeguard freedom, to preserve property, to protect the Constitutional rights of citizens and to maintain respect for the rule of law by proper enforcement of the law.  The members of the Hastings Police Department will work to provide quality police service to the community of Hastings by promoting meaningful police and citizen interaction.  We will develop a partnership with the citizens in a proactive problem-solving atmosphere to address community concerns.  We commit ourselves to the values of integrity, impartiality and professionalism in the performance of the many duties and responsibilities we will undertake.
