The Hastings Fire and EMS Department is a dual-role department providing both fire protection and Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services through our paramedic ambulance service.

Join a team making a difference across approximately 150 square miles. Our service area includes:

• Cities: Hastings and Vermillion
• Townships: Denmark, Nininger, Vermillion, Marshan and Ravenna

In 2025, the department responded to 3,923 calls for service—providing critical care and emergency response when the community needed it most.
