Paid-on-call (part-time) firefighter/EMT’s (Emergency Medical Technician’s) provide daily response to emergencies within our community.
The Hastings Fire Department currently consists of 12 full-time firefighter/paramedics, 3 full-time Captains, and 29 part-time firefighter/paramedic/EMT’s. Our administrative staff includes 2 Chief officers, 1 Fire Inspector, and 1 administrative support personnel. Most of our emergency responses are staffed with full and part-time firefighter/EMT’s working together.
The City of Hastings is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. Paid-on-call firefighter/EMT’s will receive valuable training and experience, which will provide benefit throughout their lifetime. In addition to learning and applying new skills, part-time firefighter/EMT’s receive hourly compensation, service pension, and gratification from helping your community.
