The City of Hastings’ Music + Market is a place for area makers to sell their goods adjacent to our historic downtown and riverfront park.  We welcome artists, makers, crafters and small brands.

 

What We Provide

The following is a list of what the City of Hastings will provide to help support a successful Music + Market:

  • 10’x10’ space to sell your goods
  • Public restrooms
  • Live music
  • Children's entertainment area
  • Event marketing tagging registered vendors
  • Live music performances in Levee Park that typically draw between 250-450 attendees per event

What You Need To bring

The following is a list of what each vendor will need to bring to the market in order to sell their products.

  • Your products
  • A payment method (e.g. Square).  No public Wi-Fi.
  • Table/Displays for your products
  • Bags
  • Tent Canopy
  • Tent Weights (Not all booth locations allow stakes to be used)

Cost to Participate

The City of Hastings is charging a vendor fee of $15 per registered event. There are discounts for vendors that register for multiple events at once ($85 for 6 events, $160 for 12 events). Payments can be made online, by mail or in person. Checks should be made payable to City of Hastings and include "2025 Music + Market - and Your Business Name" in the memo line. Mail check payment to the attention of Alex Menke, Hastings City Hall, 101 4th St. E., Hastings, MN 55033. 

Marketing

Marketing of event on the city website as well as city run social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram will ensure that we bring out as many shoppers as we possibly can! We ask all of our participants to also promote the market.

Booth / Merchant Information

The City of Hastings is charging a $15/event booth fee. This secures your space at the specified event. 

Vendors will need to complete a "ST19" form from the State of Minnesota. Please submit this completed form along with your vendor application.

If a vendor is not available to attend their selected date, they can move to a different date if there is availability. Otherwise, they will be placed on a waitlist for their preferred date. 

Other Details

Vendors selling goods for direct sales companies are not eligible for the Music + Market.

2025 Markets are scheduled for 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the following Thursday dates:

  • Aug. 7
  • Aug. 21
  • Aug. 28
  • Sept. 4
  • Sept. 11

Cancellations

Weather: All marketplaces will be held light rain or shine unless we call them off due to severe weather or other extreme circumstances.

Event Location

The Music + Market will take place in Levee Park, 20 Ramsey Street, downtown Hastings.  Vendors will be located along the primary walkway down to the amphitheater.
