Memorial Bench and Tree Program

The Memorial Bench Program is full for 2026 installations. 2027 installation requests are now being accepted. 

City staff will work with you to identify available locations throughout Hastings’ parks and trails where you can dedicate a tree or bench in memory or honor of a loved one.

Please note: The area along the Mississippi River is currently full for bench placements.

Benches

• Six-foot (6') long vinyl coated metal bench
• Engraved metal plaque
• Color choices: green, blue, brown
• Installed on a concrete pad
• Cost: $1,000

Trees

• Two to two and a half (2 - 2.5”) inches in diameter, balled and bur lapped
• Engraved plaque placed at City Hall
• Tree choices: Linden, Maple, Elm, Oak
• Cost: $400
