Rivertown Dog Park

The Rivertown Dog Park is a 5.5-acre fenced park that is part of the City of Hastings Park System. It provides a safe and fun off-leash environment for dogs and their owners.

Park Hours
Daily: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Rules for Safe and Enjoyable Visits

Use at your own risk: Owners are responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dogs.

Waste disposal: Pick up your dog’s waste immediately and use the provided receptacles.

Dog limits: Maximum of 3 dogs per person. Always carry a 6’ leash for each dog.

Aggressive behavior: Aggressive or rough-playing dogs must be leashed and removed immediately.

Supervision: Keep all unleashed dogs in sight and under voice control.

Leash rules: Dogs must be leashed outside of the fenced park, including the parking lot.

Vaccinations & licensing: Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and wearing up-to-date tags.

Collars: Remove prong or spike collars while inside the park.

Age & health restrictions: Female dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months are not allowed.

Unattended dogs: Dogs may never be left unattended.

Behavior & safety: No digging or excessive barking.

Children: Children under 14 must be supervised by a responsible adult; younger children must be close enough to hold hands.

Prohibited items: No smoking, eating, bicycles, skateboards, or scooters in the park.

Dogs from Hastings must be licensed and wear current tags.

Dogs from outside the city must wear at least current rabies vaccination tags.
