Memorial Bench and Tree Program

Our Memorial Bench Program is full for 2026 installations. We are currently taking requests for 2027 installations. 

City staff will with you to find locations throughout our City Parks and Trails to secure a location dedicate to loved ones by placing a tree or bench in one of Hastings’ parks or along a City trail. The area along the Mississippi river is currently full for bench placements.

Benches

• Six-foot (6') long vinyl coated metal bench
• Engraved metal plaque
• Color choices: green, blue, brown
• Installed on a concrete pad
• Cost: $1,000

Trees

• Two to two and a half (2 - 2.5”) inches in diameter, balled and bur lapped
• Engraved plaque placed at City Hall
• Tree choices: Linden, Maple, Elm, Oak
• Cost: $400
