Daily Admission Fees

We accept Cash, Visa or MasterCard - no checks. 

Season Passes, Punch Cards and gift cards are also available for purchase.

Tons of Tots (Admission is $7.00 per person) 

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and selected dates Tuesday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 am. Details published prior to the season.

• Daycare providers, preschool programs, or parents of children 5 years old and under will have exclusive use of the zero-depth area prior to open swim time.
• Only the shallow portion of the zero-depth area will be available during this time. The large slide, drop slide, diving board and lap pool will be closed.
• Lifeguards will be on duty.
• All children 5 years and younger.
• Adult supervision is required, and adults must be in the water with their children.
• Participants will be required to leave the facility through the South gate and may re-enter at noon for regular open swim with a hand stamp.

2026 REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1ST

With the experience and training of our staff, we teach the American Red Cross Swim Lesson Program. Parent/Child, Pre-Level 1, and Levels 1-6 will run 8 days of 30-minute classes.

Punch Cards

Not sure if you will use a season pass? Purchase a punch card! Punch cards can be loaded with a minimum of 10 punches and may be used for daily admission to open swim, family swim, tons of tots, or lap swim

• When you purchase a punch card you will be allowed one admission into the facility per punch purchased.
• Punch cards are sold in groups of 10 punches and expire at the end of the current season.
• The more you buy at one time - the more you save!
• Punches must be purchased at the same time to receive discount 
• Punches cannot be split into multiple cards and must be affiliated with the family who purchased them.

Any purchase over 40 punches is $35 per 10 punches. 

Season Passes

Your season pass ID card MUST be presented each time you want to enter the facility. This card is verification that you have purchased a season pass for the current year. If this card is lost or stolen, immediately report it to the Facility Manager and you will be issued a new card for a $5.00 replacement charge. Your lost or stolen ID card will be cancelled. Gift Cards

We now offer gift cards. There is no need to carry around cash – just load your season pass, punch card, or gift card with any dollar amount and redeem for daily admission, concession items, sunscreen, or other items the Hastings Family Aquatic Center has for sale. You won’t have to worry about depleting your card at the end of the season as gift cards are good from year to year and your balance will carry over to the following year. You can add to your card at the Hastings Family Aquatic Center. Your card must be presented each time you want to use it for a purchase. You will receive a receipt that displays your remaining balance after each purchase. The Hastings Family Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen cards and gift cards, including the funds remaining on the card, will NOT be replaced.

Water Walking 

• Walk at your own pace for a great low-intensity workout.
• When: Monday through Saturday: 8 to 9 a.m.
• Cost: $5 daily or Season Pass or Punch Card

Water Fitness

• Low to high intensity water fitness classes. No swim ability required. No pre-registration required - just come and join us!
• When: Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. and Saturday: 9 to 9:45 a.m.
• Cost: $5 daily or Season Pass or Punch Card

Lap Swim

Cost: $5 daily or Season Pass or Punch Card

Hours of Operation

Birthday Parties at Hastings Family Aquatic Center

Birthday Parties can be reserved for times during our regular open swim. If you would prefer that your party have the entire facility, please look into our After-Hours Rental options. Everyone entering the gate is considered a guest of the party, including those not wanting to swim. No discounts for guests who have season passes or punch cards. Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance of your requested date.

You have 2 options for a birthday party at the pool.

Option A Includes: 

• Daily admission into the Hastings Family Aquatic Center for up to 10 patrons.
• Decorated reserved space for you and your guests in the concession area.
• Cake and ice cream for you and each of your 9 guests.
• Paper products, utensils, and decorations.
• Gift for the guest of honor along with a birthday greeting from the HFAC staff. 

Also Available with Option A:  Lunch is available for an extra fee. Please request lunch upon your reservation so our we can discuss the options with you.

Option A Cost: 1-10 people: $165.00. Each additional guest: $15.00/person.

Please note that the lunch option is an additional charge.

Option B Includes: 

• Daily admission into the Hastings Family Aquatic Center for up to 10 patrons.
• Decorated reserved space for you and your guests under one funbrella
• Gift for the guest of honor along with a birthday greeting from the HFAC staff.
• There is no lunch add-on for this option.

Option B Cost:  1-10 people: $115.00 Each additional guest: 10.00/person.

Other Information pertaining to both options: 

• Everyone entering the gate is considered a guest of the party, including those not wanting to swim.
• There is no discounted rate for guests who use a punch card or season pass.
• Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your requested date. Dates are not automatic and must be approved by the manager.
• No outside food or beverage can be brought into the facility

• Personal lawn chairs are not be allowed into the facility.

• U.S. Coast Guard lifejackets are allowed with the exception of use on the water slides.
• Swim goggles are allowed.

After Hours Rentals

• The HFAC has a concession stand that can be open by request for your rental. Please contact the HFAC for item availability and menu options.
• We ask that all after hour rentals make a reservation a minimum of 2 weeks prior to their arrival date. This allows time for the HFAC staff to anticipate patron capacity and staffing needs.
• The maximum attendance for an after hour rental is 600 patrons.
• All normal open swim pool rules will apply to after hour rentals.

• If the facility closes due to inclement weather prior to your party reservation time, your party can be rescheduled for another day within the current season.
• One chaperon age 18 years or older is required for every 10 guests under the age of 18 years.
• Personal lawn chairs are not be allowed into the facility.
• Lockers are not available to store your personal belongings. Please leave valuables at home or locked in your trunk.
• U.S. Coast Guard lifejackets are allowed with the exception of use on the water slides.
• Swim goggles are allowed. 

Group Conduct

1. Disorderly conduct is prohibited and punishable by the Hastings Family Aquatic Center. The group chaperones are solely responsible for supervising the conduct of members of the group. Disorderly conduct is behavior that is intrusive or offensive to other patrons or staff, behavior that is unsafe or harmful, behavior that could result in damage to the facility, and any behavior deemed disorderly by the Facility Manger.
2. Children under 18 years old must be directly supervised by a chaperone 18 years old or above.
3. Facility staff will immediately notify the group contact of any incident. It is the responsibility of the group leader to remedy the situation. If after notification, the situation is not remedied, the facility staff reserves the right to end the event and ask the entire group to leave the facility. Thank you for your interest in After Hours Rentals.

Group Reservations

Groups must have a minimum of 25 guests and make a reservation at least 2 weeks prior to their arrival date to allow us to make staffing needs for the day. Please complete the Group Reservation Application and return it with a NONREFUNDABLE deposit. The deposit is applied to the first 25 guests. Additional guests can be paid for upon arrival.

• For every 10 participants, you will be allowed one free admission for a chaperone 18 years or older.
• HFAC will allow a total of 400 group reservation participants daily.
• The HFAC has a concession stand so we do not allow outside food or beverages to be brought in.
• Group reservations can be made during open swim times.

Lifeguard Training

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatics emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 15. Swim 300 yards continuously, using these strokes in the following order: 100 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing and stabilization, propellant kick. Rhythmic breathing can be performed either by breathing to the side or front. 100 yards of breaststroke, using a pull, breathe, kick, glide sequence. 100 yards of either front crawl using rhythmic breathing or breaststroke, or a combination. Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within 1 minute, 40 seconds.

Why is there a non-resident fee?

Some programs have different fees for residents and non-residents. Non-residents must pay an additional surcharge established by the Parks and Recreation Department. More than half of the participants in many of our programs live outside the City of Hastings and the cost of supplying these programs comes exclusively from City of Hastings taxpayers; fairness requires that non-City residents share the burden of expense. The City of Hastings Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to remove anyone falsifying information from our programs. Please call our office if you have any questions regarding residency.

Am I a resident of Hastings?

A resident of Hastings is anyone who lives within the city limits of Hastings.  City boundaries and zip code boundaries are not the same. Even though your mailing address may specify "Hastings" or you have a 55033 zip code, it does not mean you are a City resident.  Also, if you live in a "township" you are not a City resident.

What types of payment does HFAC accept?

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We no longer accept personal checks.

What is the HFAC refund policy?

The City of Hastings does not issue refunds for inclement weather. Please watch the forecast for the day of your planned visit to Hasting Family Aquatic Center. If you have any questions, please call (651) 480-6179.

Can I leave and re-enter?

Guests can get their hand stamped as they leave the front gate and re-enter at a later time that same day.

Do I have to pay if I do not swim?

Yes, each person is counted as part of our total attendance and facility capacity.

Do you have lockers available for guests?

No, there are no lockers available.

Can we bring coolers and food into HFAC?

Coolers and food cannot be brought into the HFAC, however tables are available at the neighboring park for guests to use.

Can I bring in my own chair?

No, we have a certain number of chairs available on site. We do not allow outside chairs to avoid overcrowding of the deck in case of an emergency.

Can we use strollers or wagons?

Strollers can be brought inside HFAC. Wagons are not permitted.

Facility Rules

• HFAC will close due to severe weather and temperatures below 68 degrees.
• Guests must be 42" tall to ride the water slides. Guests under 42" tall may NOT ride with another guest.
• No food is allowed to be brought into HFAC. There will be an assortment of food that can be purchased from concessions.
• Coolers and lawn chairs are not allowed.
• Persons with infections or a disease that can be transmitted through the water shall not be allowed into HFAC.
• Guests are required to shower before entering the water and after use of toilet facilities.
• Spitting, spouting water from the mouth and blowing the nose in the water is prohibited. Please remind children not to drink the pool water.
• Glassware, food and domestic animals are not to be brought into HFAC.
• Please change guests' diapers in the locker rooms, not on the deck.
• Swim diapers or rubber pants are required for young children.
• No diving, pushing, running, throwing objects or rough play.
• US Coast Guard approved life jackets are the only floatation devices allowed. Life jackets will not be allowed on any of the slides.
• Foul and obscene language will not be tolerated.
• Please do not swing from the handrails of the ladders or the ropes.
