Fire Department Open House 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Hastings Fire Department Open House will be held on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hastings Fire Department, located at 115 5th Street West.

Come meet your local firefighters and EMS providers, explore the equipment they use, and watch live demonstrations on kitchen fire safety and auto extrication. You can also practice your home fire escape plan when the smoke alarm sounds.

In addition, many other public safety partners will be on hand to visit with and learn from throughout the evening. We hope you'll join us for this fun, educational, and family-friendly event!

Glow Skate is back at the Hastings Civic Arena!

$10 Admission & ice skate rental while supplies last! (or bring your own ice skates)

DJ, games, song requests, glow sticks, contests & gift card prizes!

This is a Non-school day for Hastings! Come out and have some fun on the ice rink!

*Please be aware of online scammers. Do not buy admission from anyone online, except the City of Hastings Civic Arena staff on the day of the event.

Pumpkin Collection 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Any time | Dakota County Highway Shop (900 County Rd 47)

After all the carving, decorating, and spooky fun, give your pumpkins a green ending! Drop them in the labeled bins near the Maintenance Facility anytime the weekend after Halloween.

· Remember to remove candles, wax, and anything that’s not pumpkin.

· No painted or glittered pumpkins—those belong in the trash.

· Keep it simple: only pumpkins and gourds in the container!

All collected pumpkins will be used as food for hogs at a nearby farm!
