The City is beginning conversations about potential improvements to Tuttle Park, with a focus on creating a more accessible and inclusive park for people of all ages and abilities. Community input will help identify features and improvements that would make the park more welcoming, enjoyable, and useful, including accessible play features, pathways, seating, gathering areas, and recreational amenities. Residents and community members are invited to share their ideas and feedback at a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, October 14, at 5:00 p.m. at Tuttle Park.

After all the carving, decorating, and spooky fun, give your pumpkins a green ending! Drop them in the labeled bins near the Maintenance Facility anytime the weekend after Halloween.

· Remember to remove candles, wax, and anything that’s not pumpkin.

· No painted or glittered pumpkins—those belong in the trash.

· Keep it simple: only pumpkins and gourds in the container!

All collected pumpkins will be used as food for hogs at a nearby farm!

City administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. We look forward to serving you when we reopen on Thursday.

Starting Monday, November 16 through January 31, 2027, you can drop off your tangled strings of lights and cords at these convenient locations:

Hastings Parks & Recreation Department – 920 Tenth St W

Hometown Ace Hardware – 1355 S Frontage Rd

Please note: We cannot accept cord adapters, plastic rope lights, CFL bulbs, battery packs, garlands, artificial trees, statuary, or metal fixtures.

Holiday lights are also accepted year-round at The Recycling Zone, 3365 Dodd Road, Eagan.
