To Whom It May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Hastings, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2026 in the City Council Chambers of Hastings City Hall, 101 East 4th Street - Hastings, MN. The public hearing will be held to solicit public comment on the changes to access and right-of-way proposed in the layout plan for the Reconstruction of Highway 61 from 3rd Street to 36th Street, State Project 1913-107. The City Council meeting may also be accessed virtually using a platform called Microsoft Teams. To access virtually on Teams, go the City’s website at www.hastingsmn.gov and under the City Council & Communications Calendar click on the October 19 City Council meeting. There you will find a link to join the Public Meeting via Teams. The City Council will receive public comments on the proposed project. Such persons who desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard in person or virtually at such time and place.
This hearing is considered pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 161.164, and 30-days advanced publication of this notice is required by the Statute.
A presentation by representatives of the Minnesota Department of Transportation will precede the public hearing comment period. Information on this project can be viewed at the MnDOT website for the Highway 61 project https://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy61hastings/index.html
Any person, prior to the date of the public hearing, may examine the exhibits pertaining to the above improvements at the City of Hastings Public Works Department at 1225 Progress Drive, Hastings, MN. The office hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.
