News Release: City of Hastings Seeks Public Comment on Pleasant Valley Farms Environmental Assessment Worksheet
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HASTINGS, Minn. – The City of Hastings is inviting the public to review and comment on the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the proposed Pleasant Valley Farms residential development.
Pleasant Valley Farms is a proposed residential neighborhood located on approximately 158 acres in the City of Hastings. The development would include up to 407 homes, consisting of 341 single-family detached residences and 66 townhomes.
In addition to new housing, the project includes plans for curvilinear roadways, stormwater management facilities, open space, and a homeowners' association area designed to serve future residents.
The project area is currently located within Nininger Township. The City of Hastings and Nininger Township previously adopted a Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation for property primarily owned by the Conzemius Family Limited Partnership. If the development is approved and the property is sold, the land will be transferred from township jurisdiction to the City of Hastings.
The Environmental Assessment Worksheet has been prepared to evaluate the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed development and is available for public review. Residents and interested parties are encouraged to review the EAW and submit comments. Written comments should be directed to:
John Hinzman
Community Development Director
Email: JHinzman@hastingsmn.gov
The public comment period closes on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
