Help for Under-Resourced Households

Many residents in our area are challenged by energy costs that take up a large portion of their household budget. There are resources available to help make these costs more manageable. Some help to reduce the energy needed to be safe and comfortable at home; others help when people need some assistance getting their energy bills paid.

Apply for Dakota County’s Energy Assistance Program

Community Action Partnership of Scott, Carver and Dakota Counties helps eligible households maintain affordable, continuous and safe home energy. Services include bill payment assistance, home energy crisis intervention, outreach, energy advocacy, information about utility consumer rights, and referrals. Homeowners and renters are eligible, and must be at or below 50% of state median income.

Contact Community Action Partnership to see if you are eligible. Visit capagency.org/energy-assistance or call (651) 322-3500.
