Commissions & Task Forces

The City of Hastings encourages active engagement by its residents. City Commissions are one form in which residents can participate in the planning, development, and preservation of our growing and historical community. Click on a commission to the left to learn more about its organization, duties, and how to get involved. 

Upcoming commission openings for 2020 include:

  • Hastings Economic Development & Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA) - meets every second Thursday at 6 p.m. at City Hall
  • Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) - meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall
  • Public Safety Advisory Commission (PSAC) - generally meets every other month
  • Parks & Recreation Commission - meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall
  • Planning Commission - meets twice per month on the second and fourth Mondays at 7 p.m. at City Hall
