In recent years, the City has begun to conduct more pavement renewal projects by implementing an annual pavement Mill & Overlay program.  Streets in the program have the top 2 inches of blacktop pavement removed (milled), and a new layer of pavement is put down in its place (overlay).  These projects often include spot replacement of curb and gutter sections, and upgrading pedestrian ramps to become compliant with modern standards.
