EVENT EXPLANATIONS: 

PARTY IN THE PARK
July is National Parks and Recreation month. Celebrate with an interactive trivia show, live
music by Nathan Griner, activity booths & food trucks. All ages welcome. Cost: FREE

BIKE WITH A RANGER
Experience the 10-mile loop on a bicycle ride, guided by a park ranger. Bring your bike &
helmet. Begin & end at Levee Park. A partnership with the National Park Service.
Recommended for teens & adults. Cost: FREE. To Register Contact 651-480-6182

STORYTIME IN THE PARK
Listen to big book stories read aloud, play games and sing songs. Each Storytime has a new
theme. A partnership with Pleasant Hill Library. Recommended for ages 10 and under. Cost: FREE

MOVIE IN THE PARK
Watch a movie outdoors on our 16-foot screen. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on
the amphitheater seating or grassy hill. Sponsored by: Ardent Mills. All ages welcome.
Cost: Non-perishable food donation for Hastings Family Service

MUSIC IN THE PARK – CONCERT SERIES
Experience live music outdoors performed by local and metro area bands, including a
variety of genres. Supported by: Ruth and George Doffing Charitable Fund. All ages welcome.
Cost: FREE

PERFORMANCE IN THE PARK
A variety of groups will perform cultural dances and drumming. Sponsored by: SMEAD
Manufacturing Company. Made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from
the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts
and Cultural Heritage Fund. All ages welcome. Cost: FREE

STORYWALK
Experience a self-guided StoryWalk from Levee Park to Jaycee Park. Different stories will be
placed along the trail. Back and forth distance is one mile. Recommended for ages 10 and
under. Cost: FREE

RAPTORS IN THE PARK
Live raptor presentations include the chance to learn and see these beautiful animals
in person. A partnership with Carpenter Nature Center. All ages welcome. Cost: FREE

 


 

Celebrate Make Music Day! 10 performances over 5 hours from a variety of metro area and local musicians.
