Hastings is accessible via one major highway - Highway 61, as well as via County Highway's 55 and 316.  It is a second ring suburb to the City of St. Paul and is 25 minutes from downtown St. Paul and 35 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.  The Union Depot Train Station is 20 miles away and Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is 30 miles away.

AIR TRAVEL

The Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport is within 25-minutes of Hastings and is one of the largest airports in the country. MSP is the 17th busiest U.S. airport for passengers and 12th for aircraft operations, serving 167 non-stop markets. It's also a base for hometown carrier Sun Country Airlines and Delta Air Lines' second largest hub. Most recently, MSP was named the 2017 top North American airport for efficiency excellence in its size category by the Air Transportation Research Society. The airport's retail program was also recently recognized as the best of any large airport in North America by Airports Council International-North America, and Skytrax named MSP's staff as the best in North America in 2016.

The airport also serves as an economic engine for the community, creating unique opportunities for Hastings businesses as well. The MSP supports more than 86,900 jobs, $15.9 billion in business revenue, $3.7 billion in personal income, $2.5 billion in local purchases, and $546 million in state and local taxes.

RAIL

Hastings businesses can utilize the State's robust rail infrastructure to transport raw materials or finished products throughout the country. The State has nearly 4,500 miles of freight railroad operated by 21 railroad companies - including four Class I freight rail lines.

Canadian Pacific Railway operates the railroad line that runs through the City of Hastings that includes a rail spur to Ardent Mills.

In addition, for travel within Minneapolis and St. Paul, commuters have access to the Light Rail at the Depot Station as well as the Amtrak.

HIGHWAY

State Highway 61, County Highway 55, and County Highway 316 are three of the main routes running through Hastings. They provide quick access to the Interstate system, greater Minnesota, other Midwestern states, and the rest of the Country and Canada.

BUS RAPID TRANSIT

The City of Hastings is located within the Red Rock Corridor which is a planned bus rapid transitway along the Highway 61 corridor.

BICYCLE AND NONMOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION

Hastings has invested heavily in its sidewalk and trail systems which includes a fully walkable downtown as well as a completely contiguous 10-mile loop trail that travels along the Mississippi River, along the banks of the Vermillion River and through Vermillion Falls Park where you can take in the beautiful, 35 foot Vermillion Waterfall.  Link here to the complete Parks & Trails map.
