Artspace Hastings River Lofts provides affordable housing and workspace for Hastings’ vibrant arts and creative community. The River Lofts provides 37 affordable live/work units for artists and their families. This mixed-use project also includes ground-floor retail space, resident gallery, and programmable outdoor community and event green space. River Lofts followed the City’s $6 million Riverfront Renaissance park and streetscape project.

The City worked with Artspace through every step the approval and construction process. The City adapted land-use controls, including parking requirements, to fit this unique project. Financial assistance to this project included the sale of property for one dollar and reduced dedication.
