The Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority partners with regional and state agencies as well as the Hastings City Council. Working together, we are focused on growing Hasting's economy, creating opportunities for businesses and residents and improving the quality of life of all our residents.
The partnerships we have established allow us to provide the greatest level of assistance and support to our existing business community, and anyone who wants to invest and grow in Shoreview.
DEED (Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development)
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is the state's principal economic development agency. DEED programs promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development.
Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau
For more than 50 years, the Hastings Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau has been an organization of businesses who work together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interest of the community. The organization is run by a volunteer board of directors elected by Chamber members.
Metropolitan Council
The Metropolitan Council is the regional policy-making body, planning agency, and provider of essential services for the Twin Cities metropolitan region. The Council's mission is to foster efficient and economic growth for a prosperous region.
Dakota County Community Development Agency
Since 2007, Dakota County CDA, Dakota County and cities in Dakota County have been working together to strive towards Dakota County's Strategic Initiatives for Economic Development in order to enhance and coordinate economic conditions at a local level.
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
The Minnesota Chamber leads the statewide business community to advance pro-business, responsible public policy that creates jobs and grows the economy, and provides member services to address evolving business needs.
Open To Business
The Open to Business program provides direct technical assistance and other forms of support to small business owners and entrepreneurs. All current business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs intending to establish, purchase or improve a business within the county are eligible and encouraged to participate.
