Transformation of Hudson Manufacturing into Great Rivers Landing continues! Confluence Development has submitted development plans to transform the former factory building into 60 apartment units, and over 20,000 s.f. of commercial space. Uses may include an events center, restaurants, and outfitter businesses. The riverfront adjacent to the site would become enhanced park space linking the building to the Mississippi River.
Located along the Mississippi River in Downtown Hastings, the site contains a 100,000 s.f. office warehouse building on 3.8 acres adjacent to the new TH 61 Bridge. Formerly home to Hudson Manufacturing, it remains the last industrial property on the downtown riverfront. Redevelopment offers a unique opportunity to strengthen Hastings’ river presence and to extend downtown west of the TH 61 Bridge. A site of national significance, Hudson abuts two National Register Historic Districts and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
HEDRA has been fortunate to receive nearly three million dollars in grant funding to offset acquisition, environmental, and demolition costs. Environmental cleanup is currently underway.
The Confluence Development partnership involves local resident Pat Regan of Premier Banks and developer of Schoolhouse Square, and Bill Weyland of City Properties Group of Louisville, Kentucky.
