  • Extended Snow Emergency in Effect 1/22/18-1/24/18

    The City has begun Snow Emergency procedures. Due to the EXTENDED storm and continuous snow fall, our cleanup will require multiple passes and is expected to take 24-48 hours to complete. Keep vehicles off the street until the snow storm has ended and the street has been plowed to its full width.

  • HPD Officer Earns Top Spot in Drug Recognition

    The Hastings Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Geoff Latsch recently graduated from Drug Recognition Expert Training school as the top student. A DRE officer is trained to recognize impairment in drivers under the influence of drugs.

  • Hastings Teens Help Save a Life

    On the morning of Friday, January 12, two Hastings High School students on their way to school discovered an unresponsive person lying on the ground in below zero weather. The duo stopped, called 911, and gave CPR to the patient. Their quick response saved a life today. Thanks to Sydney and Addie!
